We are a month into 2023, and many schools have not yet solidified their marketing strategies. 

Creating a strong strategy is time-consuming, and can take hours of research, but don’t panic, we are here to help!

Influencer Marketing

Influencer marketing has been on a steady increase since 2012, and in fact, as of last year, it has been a 16.4 billion dollar industry.


But that’s not all. In terms of ROI (Return on Investment), it has one of the highest turnover rates at $5.2 for every $1 spent!


65% of companies and brands are currently using Influencers to help market their products or services with great success. So how do you leverage this for marketing your Christian school?


People influence people, so take advantage of the positive experiences that current parents or past alumni have had and see if they would record or write a short testimonial. If any are well-known community members, such as pastors, business owners, members of municipal government, or sports figures, that is even better.

Video Marketing

The next major trend, that will only continue to grow this year, is video marketing!


Video Marketing includes everything from long-form youtube videos to Reels and TikToks!


There has been a slight trend to increase the length of videos (i.e., Instagram and TikTok increasing recording limits to around 3 minutes), but the best tactic still proves to be short and simple. This means keeping them under 30 seconds! If you have more content to show, and 30 seconds isn't enough, consider making it a series on your page! Not only does this keep people interested, but it will also increase the likelihood of them following your account, and heading to your profile to view more of your content and website!

Social Media as a Customer Service Tool

How do you do this? Get your DM’s set up!

  • consistently monitor any direct messages (DM’s) and respond. You can create prompted responses to keep communication consistent.
  • set up automatic responses to specific questions (e.g.,When is the next open house? How do I book a tour?)
  • send your times of services for responses (i.e, if your hours are 9-5 Monday to Friday and someone sends a DM at 5:01 pm, they could get an automated response thanking them for their message, and letting them know when they can expect a response).

Another way to get the most out of your social media is to connect a Linktree to it!

By doing this you can have several different web pages, and social media accounts accessible via your bio without surpassing any of the limits certain applications set in place! 

Inbound Marketing

Inbound marketing is a business methodology that attracts potential families by creating valuable content and experiences tailored to them. In other words, it involves creating content, or ads, that grabs attention and then prompts potential parents to initiate further engagement.


Examples would be ads that have a clear and concise call to action such as “ENROLL NOW”, or “BOOK A TOUR.” It gets people looking and feeling pressured to act now!
